LMS Records/Indart Music/Latin Music Specialist president, Daniel Indart, was presented with an Honorary Doctorate in Music Arts by Shepherd University, Los Angeles. Indart was honored with a PhD in Music Arts for his professional accomplishments in music for Film, Television, and Advertising. The award was presented by Dr. Yohan Pyon and Rev. Juan Carlos Ortiz in a ceremony held at the Mijoo Peace Church in Los Angeles.

In 2010, Indart was appointed to the Shepherd University School of Music faculty and has been working with the university to develop a Music Entrepreneurship and Music Production curriculum. Other noted music industry professionals on staff at Shepherd University are noted multi-instrumentalist Abraham Laboriel Sr., drummer, Jimmy Branley, and keyboardist, Otmaro Ruiz.

Over the last few weeks, much more has been learned about the factors and the people behind the decision to drop the Latin Jazz Grammy category In response and in solidarity with other music communities, we have now reopened the Petition demanding the NARAS leadership to rescind this action, and restore the Grammy Awards for all these categories, and not just for Latin Jazz. If you know of musicians and supporters from other music communities, please feel free to circulate the petition. The link again is:

This issue has also Blues, Jazz, Cajun & Zydeco, Rock, Native American, Mexican, Polka, and other music communities and cultures across the country. One of the most disappointing discoveries was to find that none of the NARAS' Membership or local Chapters were even consulted about this action. There will be more information coming soon.

Follow I-75 South toward downtown Cincinnati. Take the Freeman Avenue exit and continue on Freeman to the River Road exit. Exit right onto River Road West/Route 50, move to the

left hand lane, and continue west on River Road/Route 50 approximately one ha-lf mile to end of the viaduct. You will see both a River Road exit and an Elberon Avenue/Warsaw Avenue

exit. Take the River Road exit. Go down under the overpass, approximately 1.5 miles to the fourth (4) traffic light which is Steiner. You will have just passed a Speedway station on the

left. The third and fourth lights are very close together. Turn right onto Steiner off River Road. The Sedamsville Neighborhood Center is on the left at 617 Steiner. Parking is on the street.

(2) FROM THE NORTH ON I-71

Follow I-71 South toward downtown Cincinnati. Go through the tunnel and get in the far left lane. Take Exit 1D- Route 50 River Road. Stay in left hand lane and continue west on River
